Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

Articles shall be written in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these).  Manuscripts by non-native English-speaking authors may require editing to eliminate possible grammatical or spelling errors and are recommended to use a English Language Editing service.

Submitted manuscripts are double-blind peer reviewed.

Submit manuscripts online at SJPA aims to keep contributors informed of the progress of their submissions on a regular basis. Decision about publication can be taken during the whole period.

Publication in SJPA is free (No Article submission charges nor article processing charges and no publication fees)


  • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically, in .doc, or .docx
  • Manuscripts should not have been published nor be currently under review elsewhere during the publication process in SJPA.
  • Full papers should be between 7000 and 9000 words, 12 points Times New Roman, two levels of subtitles, double-spaced throughout (this includes Notes and References sections) on A4 paper with 2,5 cm margins.
  • Submit the manuscript online at

Submit three separate documents

1) Covering letter (author's or author's name ; institutional affilation; adress; e-mail adress; a word count)

2) The manuscript, anonymized (including title, abstract of max 200 words, five keywords, main text, references, figures and tables)

3) A short biography of each author (max. 100 words).

References, tables and figures in articles

a) A list of References shall be placed in the end of paper, using the Harvard system, in text use (author, year) as: (Brunsson, 1989; Meyer & Rowan, 1977) or with page reference: (Castells, 2009: 128). In the reference list, references are listed alphabetically and in descending date order:

- Article: Surname, Name (year) article title, Journal, Vol (Nr): p-p.

- Books: Surname, Name (year) Title, Publisher, city.

- Edited books: Surname, Name (year) 'Chapter' in Name Surname (ed), Book title, Publisher, City.

As in:

b) Tables and Figures shall be numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. Maximum width is 110 mm and maximum height 180 mm, including title and comment.  Use Times New Roman size 10 in tables and figures.

c) Keep notes to a minimum and present them as end-notes.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor)
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  4. The authors agree upon electronic publication and immediate Open Access.
